Energy Costs and the Climate

Obviously, energy prices are a huge concern at the moment but the government still isn’t looking at the investment we need in renewable energy and insulation We need urgent action and we need to make people see that there are climate-friendly solutions like renewable energy and retrofitting homes – not searching for new fossil fuels.

Friends of the Earth is calling for urgent solutions that both end the injustice of fuel poverty and tackle the climate crisis so their main campaign this Autumn is about heating our homes without heating the planet.

They have also done a lot of work into areas with particular problems and which sectors of the community will be worst hit.

You can read their guide explaining what fuel poverty is and who it affects here.
