The Green New Deal is an ambitious plan to secure a safe climate and a fairer society.  Our current campaign is about Green Jobs for All.  There’s more information on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/greennewdealhavant

This April, Green New Deal will be releasing data  to show how many green jobs could be created in each local area across the country to help with the economic recovery from COVID.

We want to make sure that everyone in Havant hears this figure and joins us in demanding Green Jobs, and investment in Green Jobs.

Laura Ho from  national Green New Deal UK will start the meeting by outlining the aims of the campaign before Gary Morton, chair of Havant Branch of Unison presents his perspective on Green Jobs and investment.  Cllrs Julie Thain-Smith and Lulu Bowerman will follow with their views on the issue before the meeting is opened up to public discussion

We want as broad an audience as possible so please share the link and information about the campaign across your social media platforms.

Use #havantclimatealliance, #greennewdealhavant, #greennewdeal #UNISONSE

On April 24th there is a national day of action planned, when we will feature people in Havant a queue with outsize CVs, looking for Green Jobs.  We’re hoping this will generate a lot of media coverage.

It would be great if you could join our social media day of action on 23 March, come to our public meeting on 24 March and be involved with our action on 24 April; tell your story in a video; spread the word about the campaign; be part of the action.
