The National Emergency Briefing

The National Emergency Briefing

A briefing for MPs and public figures took place in Westminster on 27 November 2025. It brought together recognised experts to explain how climate and nature risks are expected to affect the UK, and what actions could reduce those risks. It covered climate breakdown, biodiversity, food security, economy, national security, green transition, tipping points. It was a stunning achievement and needs to be shared as widely as possible.

A new film, the People’s Emergency Briefing is being launched on 7th April and we are hoping that lots of grops will want to show it. it’ aims to get all the main points over in 45 minutes and we are looking forward to seeing it.

There are already two showings booked for Emsworth.

You are invited to attend a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing in Emsworth.

It’s an eye-opening film featuring nine leading UK scientists and experts updating us on the latest in the climate and nature crisis and its impacts on every day national life.

These include extreme weather, food security, health and the cost of living.

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster as covered by ITV, C4 and the Times.

The film will be followed by refreshments and a short open discussion about what we can do and what it means locally.

It features Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, surprise guests and a wide range of Brits.

The films will be shown at

EMSWORTH COMMUNITY CENTRE 4-6pm TUESDAY 14 APRIL 2026

St JAMES PARISH CHURCH EMSWORTH 7-9pm WEDNESDAY 22 APRIL 2026

Both venues are in North St

There’s no charge and no need to book.

Do tell your friends and get them to come along.

The showings are linked to a call for real action by the Government and the call for a Climate & Nature Bill which is being promoted by a group of organistions headed by Zero Hour. Find out more here
