What you can do

1. WORK TOGETHER

Join local groups or sign up to national ones which are putting pressure on decision-makers. See the Climate Coalition for a full list of groups

Get involved with Havant Climate Alliance and Friends of The Earth and help us spread the word about the urgency of action on climate change. Sign up for our newsletter on havclimate@gmail.com

Think about getting involved with Havant Borough Big Green Week 6-14 June. It’s a time when lots of local groups arrange activities to celebrate our environment and bring people together to act on climate and nature.

Havant Community Energy are keen to get more recruits. They work with the community to reduce energy use and push to increase alternative energy sources such as rooftop solar—an immediate, visible step toward a cleaner future.

Help us stop Southern Water recycling effluent into Havant Thicket Reservoir. See the Water Matters website

Get involved with improving our borough. There are groups to protect local nature and help adapt to climate change. There’s also lots of litter picking goes on. See our list of contacts

The main thing we want politicians to do, linked to showings of the film, is to support the Climate & Nature Bill which is being promoted by Zero Hour. The Climate and Nature Bill is a plan for a new UK law that addresses the full extent of the climate and nature crisis in line with the most up-to-date science.

The Bill is the only proposed legislation before the UK Parliament that ensures a comprehensive and joined-up approach to the climate emergency and nature crisis.
