Warm Homes which don’t Cost the Earth

Do join us for our open meeting on tackling fuel poverty without harming the environment.

It’s on Wednesday 10th May at 7 pm in Havant United Reformed Church Hall, Elm Lane, Havant

We’ll be showing the film The Cost of Living and we have invited Rachel O’Connell from the Friends of the Earth Campaigns team to tell us about the solutions. We also plan to give you time to talk to other groups over a coffee.

We all know that fuel poverty is a huge issue and part of a general cost of living crisis. And of course, it’s happening here on our doorsteps.

You can find a lot of information here on how far Havant needs to go on insulating homes and tackling fuel poverty

And here’s a map of the energy hotspots locally.

There are solutions. People struggling to pay bills need more help. We need a national programme of insulation and we need to invest in cleaner, cheaper renewable energy.

if we can persuade the government to take action. But we need to work together to make this case.

We’d like local groups to share our petition and pledge to support the campaign.

This is the petition

So do join us if you can on 10th May

There’s more information and a chance to sign up here
